As part of Eason’s capital investment programme which has already seen the company refurbishing and upgrading it’s flagship O’Connell Street store, followed by the refurbishment of the basement area, a new destination children’s department. Having completed full refurbishment works on a number of buildings as well as an extensive collection of Energy works on a number of stores, Easons have definitly become a leading example of an Energy concious client.
The refurbishment of the O’Connell Street store basement was carried out in 2017, creating a child-friendly atmosphere. The ductwork was painted to add a pop of colour as well as create a colour coded system that children could follow themselves. This store was shortlisted for Retail Building of the Year in 2017 - something Green Energy Solutions are very proud to have contributed to.
Easons Group together with GES are currently performing an SI426 Energy audit. GES perform an S.I.426 Energy Audit on large scale organisations. This has the benefit of giving the organisation a greater transparency in their energy usage and the CSR environmental pillar roadmap is an extension of this, enabling the organisation to develop an investment roadmap. This develops very strong messaging for the companies brand image and gives a practical application to their commitment to environmental obligations and carbon reductions.
